Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, performer, and writer, best well-known by the name of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she launched her career as an actress on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. The singer also released her debut music album It's Time for Tina in the same year. Louise started beginning her Hollywood career in the year 1958 where she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film. The film was a massive success, and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's pupil. Her most memorable performance came by way of 1964 when she was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise continued to juggle her career from Broadway television and Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to her image as an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. Recently, however she's also made her mark as a director of numerous popular television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Her family relocated out of Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for childhood and adolescence. They settled her in Vancouver after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
